My 365...

It is really easy NOT to start the day off on the wrong foot.  Somehow that concept escapes Blake, especially on a Monday morning.  We are in preparation for his ISAT (Idaho Standard Achievement Test) testing, so this means he has to work extra hard during his daily studies to be sure he is prepared for testing next month.

Blake hates testing, just like his mama, so the simple thought of a test makes him cranky.  Not that he does not understand the material, because he does, it is the mere mention of the word "test" that invokes an instant mental blockage in his brain.

I believe the word TEST should never be used in education.  How about we change it to REVIEW instead?  Or maybe something delightful like "COOKIE?"

"Okay honey, time for your monthly reviews."

Or...

"Okay children, time for your weekly cookie."

There now, that sounds much more delightful.  What say you planet?

Monday Morning Cranky Pants that is what I shall call Blake today.  "MMCP" for short.

*sigh*  The joys of home-schooling.
