Goodbye March!

The boys are home! They had a great time with their father, and took these beautiful photos at the park this afternoon.

What the snow left behind yesterday. The hills look beautiful!

I am so happy my boys are home. :)

And goodbye to March, we are so looking forward to April!

Doggy Daily...

Princess Piranha is at it again! I look over at her pink castle and all I can see is her tiny nose sticking out. Yep, she stold Dozer's favorite puppy and tried to drag it into her lair!

She is looking a little mortified after being caught in the act! Silly Miss Lilly, never a dull moment. There is no treasure too large for her to stash. lol

Until next time...

My 365...

Another of my favorite dolls, a Dresden Porcelain Ballerina that was a gift from my sister in law. The skirt of the doll as a very intricate porcelain lace, and it is just beautiful!

Hard to believe that today is the last day of March. I am looking forward to April. It has always been my favorite month of the year!

Until next time...

I am so excited!

My boys will be home today! Bring on the boy noise! :)

They have only been gone since Monday, but I have missed them so much. Yay! Doing the mama happy dance.

Doggy Daily...

Had some Photobooth fun with Miss Lilly tonight. She is virtually impossible to pose with since she spent the entire session trying to "nom nom" my face!

Silly Miss Lilly, gotta love her. :)

Out of over a dozen photos, only one came out reasonably well. lol

Dozer and Ducati were a bit out of sorts today. They are missing the boys, Kori and Supra as much as I am. Poor puppies. :(

We will all be happy when the family is back together!

Until next time...

My 365...

Another quiet day at home with the boys still away. I do miss them. I also had a really difficult night thinking about son B, wondering how he is doing. :(

Woke up this morning to the strangest Spring weather. First a little snow, then some hail and wind, then rain. March is going out like a lion!

I found some dolls I have had since I was a little girl. A pair of Knickerbocker Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. I have had them since the late 60's, and still love them! They are tiny dolls, about the size of my Blackberry, and as cute as they can be. I can pass them down to my grand child some day. :)

Garrett made some delicious steak for dinner on the grill this evening. Mixed with a bit of garlic mashed potatoes and spinach salad, it was delicious! Thank you son.

Have a great tomorrow...

Doggy Daily...

I think it is harder on the dogs when the boys leave, especially Ducati. He is not quite sure what to do with himself. All night long he comes into my room to rest on my bed for a few minutes, then he is back at the front door waiting for his boy Casey to come home. Bless his heart, he is just not the same without his boy around.

Miss Lilly getting ready to settle in for the night on her luxurious fur bed...

...Dozer! Silly girl. Dozer does not mind one bit. He just lays there snoring while Miss Lilly is curled up on his soft back.

Gotta love these dogs!

Until next time...

My 365...

The first day of Spring Break for the boys, and the weather was miserable. It is cold and rainy outside, so Blake and I spent the day snuggled up watching some "Super Mario Sunshine" tutorials so he can beat the game. He loves watching those!

Then his daddy came later in the day to pick him and Casey up so they could spend a few days with him. It has been almost a year since they spent some time with their father, so they were excited to go.

Blakey sat in my room waiting and told me not to worry, he would be back real soon! Then he gave me that concerned expression followed by his silly Blakey face, and a sweet kiss to hold me until he got back. Big brother Casey told me not to worry, he would take care of Blakey while they are gone, but I have to promise to take care of Ducati for him. :)

It will be nice to have a few quite days to myself, but after 23 years of being a mom, I am not used to having no "boy noise" around. It always feels strange.

Kori and Supra left this morning too so Kori could spend Spring Break at home with her family. I am going to miss them too!

Hope all is well in your world. :)

Sweet Dreams :)

Sweet dreams, and have a happy Monday. :)

I look at this photo I took of Supra this morning, and all that comes to my mind is....

"Nuff Said!"

The mighty Great Dane Supra, sitting here like he owns the world! Yep, he just about does.

Now what was happening behind the scenes you ask? He thought I had a treat in my hands to reward him with. He will do just about "anything!" for some of Miss Lilly's puppy chow. It is like candy to him.

Silly Supra. :)

My 365...

Hello world. :)

I am not much of a coffee connoisseur. I do make 1/2 a pot every morning for Kori, but in my cup it is usually 3/4 milk with 1/4 coffee. I know...what a whimp.

Kori found this for me the other day, and it is my new favorite beverage of the morning! Hills Bros. Cappuccino French Vanilla. I heat a cup of milk, add a few teaspoons of the magic and mmmmm, so good! I can say goodbye "Folgers" for ever. I am breaking up with you, sorry.

And no your eyes are not deceiving you, that is a Batman mug! I have the entire set and I love them. I never drink out of anything other than glass (yes I am picky) and I LOVE my Batman mugs. Thank you McDonalds...and eBay. :)

Spring is definitely in the air. It is a bit overcast today, but there are some magnificent colors coming through in our neighborhood. This is a good thing because I am feeling a bit overcast today. :(

I have been really missing my two children who have decided that they are better than us. My son B particularly, because I do not know where he is. It is a horrible feeling not knowing if he is happy or sad, sick or well, warm and safe...or wandering the streets. I hate it and it breaks my heart for him. He did send a small message to me, so I know he is ok, but I was hoping for more! I keep praying that I will wake up one day to find him home again where he belongs so I can help him start life on the right foot. I miss all the fun we used to have together, his cooking! He was a great chef. The conversations, the laughs the video game play. I love you B, and I miss you so much!

As for my daughter, my only daughter, I miss her too. What I miss most about her is her undying love and loyalty to this her family. Unfortunately, that died with her last temper tantrum and it is a real shame because no one family could ever love her as completely and sincerely as we did...do. But she chooses to continue on this journey of hers that she is perfectly happy with. I want her to be happy, so in many ways I am fine with that. It does break my heart to hear her younger brothers talking about her in past tense, but that is through no fault of their own. She opened the door, walked through it, and locked it behind her. So be it.

I did hear from her father that she did get married, and had fun on her "mondo adventure" as she referred to it. So congratulations to her. Getting married is a big deal, a huge deal, and she did it all by herself with no family around. I find that a bit sad, but it is what she wanted so it should have been that way.

My most sincere dilemma that I fight with every day is how I feel about everything that has transpired over the last month. A mom is supposed to be all knowing, all loving, and forever forgiving and accepting of her children. If I were to be completely honest with myself and the world, I will never feel the same way about her as I have felt before. In many ways she has severed the tie to me so completely it is going to take a lot of work for me to heal. There has been a permanent break a part of which will never heal. So much of the damage done can not be undone, and that is sad. Our relationship is forever changed and not in the way it should have. We did not grow into this next milestone of her life together. A milestone so precious and so important. She broke away, experienced the next step all on her own and now stands on the other end a this huge canyon with me on the other side. I am not sure how I am supposed to catch up....or if I even can. And that is the God's honest truth.

She will start her life, have her children, and there I will be waving to them from across this huge divide that will never grow smaller. How sad. :*(

Back to the colors! Blake took these two amazing photos for me today!

And my favorite, he discovered how to give me a flower that would last forever. He said, "A flower for you mommy that will last forever just as much as I love you forever!"

Awww. thank you my baby boy, mommy loves you to infinity and beyond!

Until next time...

Doggy Daily...

Poor Dozer, all he was trying to do was catch a little snooze...

The perfect opportunity for Blake to sneak up and outfit his favorite dog with some styling 3-D shades!

But he did not mind, he gave Blakey a quick yawn and barked...."Pass the popcorn!"

Such a sweet Dozer, he is ready for a movie at a moments notice. :)

Until next time...

My 365...

I was organizing my things today, and came across one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. My mother's high school graduation ring. She graduated in 1949 from a small school run by Catholic nuns in south Texas. Such a beautiful ring, and I am so happy to have it.

My mom was always and will always be my hero. She went on to college to obtain a degree in education, and was an amazing teacher for over 30 years. She was the ultimate "working mom", back when being a working mom was not so common.

She loved and cared for everyone around her. Even when she was later diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, she never slowed down. She took care of dad, took care of my sisters and I, took care of her mother until she passed, and was the best teacher and mentor for her students.

*Cheers* to you mom! I love you always and forever and miss you so much. :)

Doggy Daily...

He takes so much every day. Between Miss Lilly jumping all over him, to Supra wanting to wrestle and eat his tail!

But he always remains calm and cool.

Dozer is without question the sweetest "Teddy Bear" of a dog that ever lived!

Love you Dozer. :)

Until next time...

My 365...

Today was Blake's last day of school before the Spring break, yay!

He decided he wanted some McDonalds for dinner...yuck...but I managed to talk him into cooking us a great dinner instead.

Of course that was easy to do because Blakey loves to cook!

For an appetizer, Blake served me some black olives and avocado...yumm!

Then he went hard to work making the most delicious dinner!

I sliced some chicken breast, which he dredged in some flour, then an egg wash and finally some bread crumbs...

Getting his fingers all gooey was the fun part of course.

Then he tossed them into a cast iron skillet with olive oil and fried them up!

He then prepared the most beautiful dishes. Homemade chicken nuggets, fresh spinach and greens salad, sliced cucumber and tomatoes. Sooooo good!

One for mommy, one for Casey and of course one for the chef.

For desert, Garrett and Kori brought us some "Chocolate Thunder from Down Under" from The Outback Steak House.

What a perfect way to start Spring Break! Thank you chef Blakey for a most excellent meal, and of course Chef Jaime Oliver for the great idea!

Have a great weekend world.
