December 31, 2015 - Happy New Year, 2016!

How do you take close to 10,000 photos and a handful of videos, and condense them down to a few minutes in an end of year review?  That is really hard to do when you capture as many awesome moments as this mama has.  This year, 2015, has been a wonderful year.  We have had some amazing times, and a few not so amazing times, but in the end, I can say with absolute certainty...that we are very blessed as a family.  There is a whole lotta love that lives here.
My New Year's gift to us, my family, is this little "End of Year" review video.  I did manage to condense our memories down into 6.19.27 minutes of pure joy.

Thank God for the amazing year we have had and thank God for the most epic, awesome year, 2016, that starts at midnight tonight!  I can guarantee you all, at the very least, another 10,000 photos and handful of videos to remember every single second to come.

To Jack, Garrett, Genevieve, Brandon, Amber, Cooper, Penny, Casey, Brianna, Baby Axel Ray on the way, Blake...and even our animals...Dozer, Supra, Ducati, RayRay, Miss Lilly, Annabelle and Rosie...

Happy New Year family, I love you!

Here is our 2015 in 6.19.27 minutes.

Welcome to 2016, we are ready for you!

December 28, 2015 - Insta-Freeze Sort Of Day.

Blake and I let the hens out to free-range for a bit today, and they did much better in the cold than we did.  They seem to love it!

We have to check their water frequently, as it freezes and gather their eggs quickly or the eggs freeze too.  It is that cold.  Fortunately, both hens make a lot of noise when they are laying their daily egg. We are able to bring the eggs inside before they freeze.

My little hens are amazing!

 Sweet little Annabelle.
 The VERY sassy Miss Rosie!
 Fluffy butts.
Rosie and Blake with very rosy cheeks.  lol :)

Until next time...enjoy life, and be kind to one another.

December 28, 2015 - I Do Love Winter!

I do love winter, but my goodness, it has been so cold!  Thankfully my little hens have not turned into chicken Popsicles.

We will be below freezing for the entire week.
Blake and I did manage to get outside and take a few photos.
The skies over Boise were clear, but there was an inversion settling in over the foothills that looked very cool.
The only thing I don't love about winter in Boise is inversion conditions.  Especially when the inversion settles in over the valley. Makes it hard on the lungs.

A very cool photo taken by Blake of this sad little snowman, chilling in the sun.
Here are some amazing photos that Garrett took of his beautiful girlfriend Genevieve at her father's farm on Christmas day.  Garrett takes such incredible pictures.  He truly captures the moments in his photography.

 Genevieve and her father. :)
I love that I share the hobby of photography with the boys.  It makes it that much more fun, and we learn from each other.

Until next time...enjoy life, and be kind to one another.

Peace.

December 25, 2015 - Merry Christmas, 2015!

Merry Christmas everyone!

We enjoyed a nice, quiet, peaceful day.  Blake and I were up late last night watching movies and enjoying our annual, taquito, queso salsa, Christmas Eve dinner.  I finally got to bed shortly before 3:00 AM, but Blake decided to pull an all-nighter playing video games with friends.  Silly kid.  Santa brought him some new lens attachments and accessories for his camera.  He was thrilled.  He also received what teenage boys love the most...money to get some new shoes.  Yes, just like his big brothers, Blake is obsessed with shoes!
Jack prepared a delicious roast for our Christmas dinner.  For desert we had pumpkin pie with whipped cream, and some cheesecake.  Then Genevieve brought a yummy Trader Joe's peppermint cheesecake.

Brianna and Casey came over to visit so that we could give them their presents.  Of all the gifts I purchased this year, the gift I loved the most was the one I got for baby Axel Ray.  I got him his first pair of Ropers, and they are adorable!!  Brianna and Casey loved them too.

Brianna has a perfect little bitty baby bump, and looks adorable.

Garrett and his lovely Genevieve. Genevieve brought over the most thoughtful gifts for everyone. "Thank you, Gen!"
We enjoyed a lovely visit, and it was a great way to end the day.  :)
And did I mention it was a white Christmas?  Yep, snow on the ground today...woot!

Christmas 2015, over and out! It has been a lovely, peaceful day, and we are feeling very blessed as a family. Now on to a new year, and many new adventures to come! Sending everyone lots of love and blessings from Idaho. Santa has left the building...
*Update*  It is a chilly 22°f outside tonight, with snow on the ground, but I had to try to get a photo of the Christmas moon. A little hazy, but beautiful! Not my best moon shot...it is a wee bit hard to focus when you are shivering. lol  Now I need to thaw out...I feel a bit like a human popsicle.

Until next time...enjoy life, and be kind to one another.

December 18, 2015 - It's Official!

Casey proposed to Brianna tonight, and of course she said YES!!  :)

I am so happy for them.  Now we can plan the perfect wedding for them after baby Axel has arrived, so he can enjoy their very special day together.  He will be the cutest little ring bearer ever! <3

This makes me very happy!

This has been quite an emotion week, but a wonderful week.

And has anyone seen my baby boy?  My goodness Blake has grown so much in the past few months that I hardly recognize him on a daily basis.  He has grown 1-1/2 inches in just 5 weeks!!  Time seriously needs to slow down just a week little bit.
Life is good, and we are blessed.

Until next time...enjoy life, and be kind to one another.

Peace.

December 16, 2015 - Baby Is A...

...it's A BOY!!!!

Yay!!

Brianna and Casey invited me to their gender reveal ultrasound.  Along with Brianna's mom and aunt, we were able to see that Brianna and Casey are having a precious baby boy!  We all cried...happy tears of course.  It really touched my heart to see Casey's reaction.  My baby boy is having a baby boy, and he is beyond thrilled.  It is all so perfect!!

I recorded their reaction in a video.  Unfortunately, the room was very dark, but I was still able to capture all the emotion and all the feels.  And I added the perfect sound clip at the end of the video. Casey's most favorite sound on the planet. A turbo drift car.  lol :)

They have named the baby Axel Ray Robertson.  Axel, because Casey loves cars...Brianna does too. And the middle name "Ray" after grandpa Jack.  When they told me they were giving the baby Jack's middle name I cried.  Jack did too.  Grandpa Jack is over the moon, and can not wait to meet his new grandson.  I have a feeling grandpa Jack and baby Axel Ray are going to be inseparable.  <3

Today was truly a joyous day, and I am thankful that they shared this special day with me.  I love you so much Brianna, Casey and baby Axel Ray.

Until next time...enjoy life, and be kind to one another.

Peace.
