Northern Lights

We heard on the news tonight that it may be possible to see the Northern Lights from Boise, so Garrett and Kori drove Casey, Blake and I up to Table Rock.

Table Rock is a plateau overlooking the Boise valley.  Great views from up high, and were the Boise cross is located.  The cross is a 60 foot mountaintop cross whose 2,100 watts of white light have illuminated the Boise night since 1956.

It was freezing and windy at the top, but we were having so much fun I barely noticed.

We did not catch any "Northern" lights, but the city lights were stunning!

Even using the tripod, the wind made it hard to focus.  But I tired.  :)

Blake.  I told him to "freeze"...it was so cold that was not hard to do.

Casey.  :)
This was supposed to be a picture of Garrett taking a picture of Kori...but they moved.  They look like ghosts wandering out of frame.  It is a nice shot of downtown Boise.
The 60 foot Boise Cross

Shooting north.  There were a lot of stars, but no Northern Lights.  Even with a full moon, it was so dark.
Here is a picture Garrett took of the boys with his camera.

After picture fun Garrett took us to McDonalds for hot cherry pies.

It was awesome!
