Happy Hump Day planet! Hope your day has been splendid.
Jack had his appointment with the vascular surgeon this morning. His surgery is scheduled for the last week in October. The plan is to do angioplasty and try to stent both legs. If for some reason that is not possible, then we will have to schedule 8 hour bypass surgery another time. I am confident that he will do well with the angioplasty and stenting...that is the hope anyway. Jack is a strong, active man. The desired outcome would be that this procedure will restore proper blood flow to his lower legs and feet, and relieve the pain and cramping he has been experiencing. His Vascular surgeon is the best in the region, so I have faith that all will be well. :) Marathon one commences, and we will take it one day at a time.
It is so strange to me, Jack being unwell. He is the energizer bunny of the household. Constant motion, and always physically strong. Hopefully this little bump in the road is the only one he ever has to deal with. Fortunately the medication he has been on has corrected his bad cholesterol situation. Now if I could only get the man to quit smoking...
