My 365...
I can't believe it is already Wednesday, much less the last day of November. This has been such a busy month for us, but a good one just the same.
We are back to where we need to be as a family with only the people who deserve to be here. No more drama, no more garbage and no more lies. It feels good.
I can't think of a better way to welcome the holiday season than with a clean slate. :)
My photos of the day...
Blake giving me his "Math face"...grrrr.....now that is some arithmetic concentration effort there.
And a smile. :)
And a "Cooper" smile for grandma. :)

My 365...
We celebrated our Thanksgiving today, and it was wonderful! Garrett, Kori, Brandon, grandson Cooper, Casey, Blake, Jack and I...perfect. I am so thankful for my family. Jack made a yummy turkey, and I made some pretty yummy fixings too.
We did have a little mishap with the new oven, but what is a little fire and smoke? LOL, I swear it would not be Thanksgiving in our home without a little minor emergency. Thankfully no food burned, we just need to get used to the new appliances.
In my world I think everyday is Thanksgiving. I am thankful for a good husband, four amazing sons, Garrett's girlfriend Kori, and precious grandson Cooper.
We really enjoyed our day watching Cooper explore the house. He loves it here, and we love having him here. His beautiful smile and infectious little giggle. He even has his own room...until uncle Blakey decides to make it his own. :)

Happy Monday World!
The long weekend is over, and I am looking forward to getting back to normal this week. We all are.
The house is unpacked and all set up, I even managed to get the Christmas tree assembled. All it needs is lights and ornaments. I have not yet decided on a theme for the tree this year, but it is going to be different from years past. Jack will have time to work on the outside decorations too.
We had a bit of a mishap last night. Brandon was working on his bike and decided to take it for a spin. Blake jumped on his scooter to race him, and did not take the time to put his helmet on. It was dark outside so he managed to have a head on collision with the curb. Thank God he did not break his collar bone, but he bruised it pretty good. He also hit the side of his face and his head on the concrete causing a bit of confusion. He did not lose consciousness, but definitely had a concussion.
I have decided that boys should be born with helmets. Out of the four sons I have...all four have been concussed at one time or another! Blake is feeling much better today, but hopefully has learned a valuable lesson. When mom says "wear a helmet", you better "wear a helmet!"
Garrett and Kori came by to visit last night. Garrett is going to paint some art work for the living room and my bedroom. That will be his Christmas present to us this year. He is so creative and talented, I can't wait to see what he comes up with!
The cable man is here to get all the cable wiring going, so that is all from my world today.
Have a wonderful Monday!

More unpacking mixed with serious relaxation. My "Mama Cave" is all set up the way I want, and I am working on the kitchen and dining room next followed by my bedroom.
One day at a time. :)
Cooper is coming to see us tomorrow and I am soooooo excited to hold my precious grandson again!

My 365...
Is it over yet? This has been once crazy marathon of a week!
Today was the last day of the move as I wanted to get the U-Haul back before 6:00pm. Jack went back to the old house to wrap up the last of the packing while I was at the new house with the boys getting settled. Brandon let RayRay and Dozer outside in the back yard this morning, and when it was time to bring them in...Dozer was gone. He had slipped out the back gate.
Brandon and Casey took off immediately to find him with no success. Poor Blake was in tears. :*( After over an hour of searching I called Jack to come join in the hunt. He drove home and did not find him on the way either so he took off on his bike thinking he would have more success. Two hours had passed by now and Jack approached an elderly lady walking down the street, and asked her if she had seen a big white dog. She had, and pointed Jack in the direction of the house where she had seen him.
The couple there had found Dozer and knew he had to belong to someone so packed him in the car and drove to Petsmart to see if he by any chance had a microchip (which I will be getting right away!). When he did not, they brought him back home to search for us but Jack found them first. *sigh* Long story short, we got our Dozer back!! Thank God! He can be such a doofus at time, but is such an important member of our family.
"Mama, I'm home!"
Blake so relieved to see his best friend.
Guess what Dozer is getting for Christmas? A microchip and a GPS collar! We will never lose sight of him again. I am going to have to do the same for Ducati and Miss Lilly and maybe RayRay too! The dogs are always inside with us so we never worry about them getting lost. Boy have we learned a valuable lesson.
All that is left of the move is cleaning up the old house, and we will work on that next week. I am too tired to tackle anything "move related" for the next 24 hours at least. Poor Jack has worked himself so hard. So have Brandon, Casey and Blake. I am so thankful for them.
Thanksgiving was to be tomorrow, but Jack has to work until 3:00pm so he wants to celebrate it on Tuesday. I thought that was a good idea as well.
Tonight for dinner we had some baked chicken, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce and garlic bread. It was delicious!
Yummy chicken dinner.

My 365...
Pinch me someone, I must be dreaming! I love this new house!!
We spent our first night in our new home, and it is the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. The house is so quiet and well insulated. The climate stays a perfect 68 degrees...just the way I like it.
It has been so long since I have had carpet, that I had forgotten how nice it is. The living room, dining room and kitchen are all wood floors, but the stairs going to the upper level, stairs going to the lower level and all the bedrooms are carpeted. Which must really add to the insulation.
The neighborhood is lovely and so far nice and quiet as well. One thing I can not get over is the size of the bedrooms and all the additional storage. The master bedroom swallows up my furniture there is so much room. We had really downsized with the previous house so now rather than having too much stuff and not enough room, we now have all the room in the world we need and not enough stuff. No, scratch that...we have all the stuff we need as well.
The boys love this house. Casey already claimed the downstairs den and fireplace area and is calling it the "man cave!" which is fine by me. They will have all the computers and TV's and video games down there where they belong, and that makes mama very happy.
The kitchen is a lovely shade of "green." When I first saw it I immediately thought "I need to paint in here", but the color is really nice and calming. I think I will keep it for now.
The dogs are happy too. Miss Lilly has never lived on carpet before, so she is prancing around like a little pony. It is so funny to watch her. Ducati loves the stairs, and Dozer is not quite sure what to make of all the space. He can't decide if he wants to sleep upstairs with mama...stay on the ground floor and guard the doors, or go down stairs with his boys.
One we get settled in I will take lots of pictures of our new space. For now, I need to get unpacking!
My photos of the day....
Casey's "Man Cave" as he refers to it. We just have to get the furniture down there and set up the computer stations. He wants to mount a deer head over the fireplace, and put a bear rug down. Uhmmmm, I don't think so Casey.
What will be the "Mama Cave" once I decide how to arrange furniture. The big picture window is perfect for the Christmas tree. And NO Tv's in this room!
What we had for dinner last night...lol Hey, a Turkey TV dinner is better than hot dogs! When you are moving, this is a much quicker and easier alternative to burgers.
The real turkey waiting for this weekend's feast! I can hardly wait to give this new kitchen a try.
