My 365...
Hello planet, Happy Sunday. :)
All of the excitement, adrenalin, worry and fear of the past 48 hours came crashing in on my head today. I finally got to sleep at about 8:30 this morning, and did not get out of bed until almost 9:00pm this evening. My body said "Enough!"
The last two weeks have been awesome, having Amber and grandson Cooper here to stay with us, waiting for the arrival of baby Penny. The difficulty has been our schedule. With Brandon going in to work at 7:00pm. and not getting out until 3:30am, Blake, Amber, Cooper and I have had to flip our schedules around. It has all finally caught up with Blake and I, and we are exhausted.
Friday was a beautiful, amazing day. Being with Amber and Brandon every step of the way, welcoming Penny into the world was an experience I will never forget. I feel so honored to have been a part of such a momentous occasion, and am so thankful to Amber and Brandon for inviting me to experience it with them. We almost lost them both. Penny had a difficult time coming into this world, and had her umbilical cord wrapped around her little neck three times. Scared daddy and grandma to death! Then poor Amber lost so much blood. Without question, the scariest few hours of my life. The midwives, Paula, Katie and Holly literally saved her life. Brandon, her best friend Morgan and I held on tight to bring her through. Brandon was an amazing husband. I will never forget how incredible he was.
Today grandma fell apart. Literally. I have been crying all day, and just need a few days to process everything. The adrenalin has kept us all going for the past few days, and now we process. Garrett has been my hero. He has been the backbone of this family and kept us all safe and sane. I can never thank him enough for all he has done. He is our rock.

I want to give you huge credit for being able to and still taking pictures even when things took a turn for the worse. Having the pictures to go with your amazing story will be something I'm sure they'll treasure forever. The picture of the two of them on the floor is priceless. Hopefully everyone is able to recovery quickly and enjoy the new born days all over again!
