Good-Bye September!

Good-Bye September.

This has been an amazing month!  We had so many fun adventures, and made wonderful new memories.  So far, this has been my favorite month this year.  Thank you September!

And thank you Shape-Up September, and ShayCarl Butler for inspiring us to join you on a fun journey of self-improvement this month.

Total Sit-Ups for me all in one sitting, 125!  Take that Rheumatoid Arthritis!

Total Miles on Bike, just under 165 miles.  Which is awesome considering we could not ride for almost 8 days due to bad air quality.

We also did some walking, swimming and hiking and lots of eating healthy and above all, being kind to ourselves and to each other.

We learned what an amazing family we are, and how blessed we are to have each other.  <3

The verdict?  Shape-up September was a rip-roaring success, and it does not stop because September ends.  We love our new active healthy lifestyle, and we shall continue it forever.

Head is happy, heart is happy and body is happy.  ***ohmmmmm***

Welcome October.  :)

My 365...

"Say hello to my little friend..."

His name is Guido Antonio Luigi Bernardo Larry III "Da turd".  I discovered him sitting on my desk this morning.  Why was he there?  He is "the replacement"...Blake sent him.

Blake has officially resigned as my top model.  *sniff*  From now on if I am hankering for a photo op, I have to call Guido Antonio Luigi Bernardo Larry III "Da turd", as Blake has officially retired.

Oh Blake...you are "da silly turd!"  LOL, Such imagination that child-o-mine.

"Blake my darling, everyone knows you are tied to a contract for life young man."

***Update***

"Mama always gets her picture.  Teehee.  :)

We are enjoying a nice relaxing Sunday.  Casey is out all day, Garrett and Kori are at the gym, Jack is tinkering in the garage, Blake is getting his video gaming on.  As for me, I am wandering around the house photographing everything that moves...and doing laundry.  :)

Hope your day has been awesome!!

My photos of the day...

Remember Garrett's two little Oscars, Goblin and Athena?  They are HUGE now, and so beautiful.

They are the coolest fish too.  The second Garrett walks into the room, they rush to the corner of the tank and wag their fins like little puppies.  I have never seen anything like it!

The washroom is downstairs where Garrett, Kori and their critters live so Supra kept me company while I did laundry.
 Thank you Supra <3
 "Your welcome grandma."

My 365...

I will be riding my bike down the path, through town or on  busy street, and my eyes will notice a tiny detail on the side of the road or in the sky.  A bird, a cloud, a bright flower, an interesting leaf, a rock...and my eye will zero in on that detail and appreciate its beauty.

I almost always have to stop, pull out the camera and snap a picture.  The boys don't mind either.  They have grown accustomed to the "mama pause for photo" phenomena when we are riding.

Sometime it is not even a specific item either.  It could be the shadow that Casey might be casting as he passes between me and the  sun, or the effect of the sun shining behind Blake.  My mind screams "Stop!"  I need a picture.

I call it the gift of focus, some may refer to it as photography ADHD...lol  It is a miracle we get any miles in as often as I am pausing to take a photo.

On our ride this evening I had extreme focus overload!  We road for just under 15 miles, and I swear I must have taken over 400 pictures. It was a gorgeous day here in Boise, and the sky was finally smoke free.  On the ride home we stopped in at the Boise Rose Garden in the center of town, and the colors...oh my goodness, the colors.  I had no idea roses were at their most stunning in the Fall.  My Nikon was overwhelmed with color.

It was a perfect day.  :)

My photos of the day...

 A spot of Autumn.

   The end.  :)
 Total ride...14.96 miles.
