My 365...

What was your favorite Christmas gift? Mine was definitely the e-reader I purchased for myself. The Entourage Pocket Edge.

I did purchase it a few weeks before Christmas, but this little gadget has gotten so much use, and, it has rekindled my love of reading.  Just since I opened the box, I have read so many books.  I am just finishing my 10th novel.

Whether you get a Kindle, or a Nook or an iPad, I highly recommend the e-reader experience.  I love it because I can lay in bed at night, and read when I can't sleep.  90% of the books I have loaded on my reader have been free downloads from Amazon.Com.  The website PixelofInk posts daily leads to free book dowloads, and I have downloaded every single one of them!

The book I am reading now is called "Last Light" by Terri Blackstock.  This title is currently a free download from Amazon.com.  You can find the title here.  I do find that the free offering may only last a few days, so grab it while you can!

I will be the first to admit that I do not tend to reach for a good "Christian" read as my faith is something very personal to me.  However, these books are written so well that I can say with absolutely certainty that I recommend them!

The Last Light is full of surprises.  What this book has reminded me is that as a nation we are a very spoiled and dependent society.  We are critically dependent on technology and electronics.  If all of those things were to fail, we would be so lost.  I am almost finished reading the book, just a few chapters left, and I am hoping for a happy ending.  At least I will walk away from this novel with a much needed reality check and some inspiration.

Until next time...
