My 365...

Happy Wednesday!  We got off to a bit of a slow start, but I feel that maybe it was just a Wednesday thing.  Wednesday is the "exhale" day around here.  We seem to hit the ground running on Monday and rather than pace ourselves...it is go...go...go.  Come Wednesday, we are all ready for a nap.

Oldest son Garrett worked on Casey's bike last night and had to do some welding to make repairs.  He is very good at welding, but did not have his good quality goggles, just some cheap ones from the hardware store.  There was just enough exposure to his eyes to cause some welder's burn.  Bless his heart, he was in excruciating pain last night.  This morning Jack drove him to the ER to get his eyes checked and have them treated.  He is feeling a bit better this evening, but will need to rest his eyes for the next few days.  I have dealt with corneal injury before, and I remember the horrid pain.  I can not even imagine how painful burns to both eyes would be.  Thank God he will be okay.

We completed day two of our "Shape-up September" bike ride.  This evening's ride was 9.54 miles.  It was a very breezy cool evening, but the smoke in the valley is really bad again.  We could barely see the foothills, but we did have a nice ride.

For dinner I made some creamy homemade split pea soup.

Hope your day was awesome!

My Photos of the Day...

Ahem...wrong bike mister.  :)
You can usually see the mountains in the distance...tonight, all we could see was smoke.

Blake...planking on the railroad tracks.  :)

So much smoke, you can't even see the foothills.  :*(

It is smoky here too! Poor Garrett, I hope that he feels better really soon. That sucks! Love the pics-especially the first one of Blake on your bike. Cute!
