Thank you for the memories May.  Our biking adventures were pretty much a bust this month, but I expect we will make up for it in June.

Other than that, it was a great month!

My 365...

It's Friday!  No it's not...it is Thursday.  It is "almost" Friday.

School is officially over for the boys.  I am continuing math and language arts for Blake through the summer, and asked the teacher to leave history and science open for me as well, just in case we decide to get ahead in those two subjects.  My main focus for Blake this summer is to work on his hand writing, which he hates, and work on math which he has trouble in.  I want him to be ready for main stream school next year.

This year passed by so quickly for me.  It is probably been one of the most challenging years for us as a family, but we got through it.  I suppose if life were easy, with absolutely no struggle, we would not appreciate and cherish it as much as we do.  Right?  Right!  :)

My 365...

I had the funniest conversation with the boys last night.  They were sitting in my room arguing about a "scary" video game, and as usual, challenging each other...

"There is no way you can play this game Blake, you will scream like a girl."

"Casey, dude, I have played it before.  Yeah, it is scary, but I can play it."

"You don't understand bro, this game will freak you out!"

On and on and on they went discussing the terror that is the game Amnesia.

"Enough boys!  I will play this game and prove to you that it is no big deal."

"Yeah right mom."
"No way mom."
This I have got to see!"
"This is going to be epic."
"Mom is going to freak!"  blah...blah...blah...

"Gather around children, let mama show you how this is done."

I sit in front of the computer, they turn off all the lights, turn the game sounds up, and sit back fully expecting to hear me screaming like a little girl.

I proceeded to play this game for a full 30 minutes until I was so bored to tears I was giggling like a school girl.  At one point, when they were fully immersed in the game, I let out a yell and scared them both right out of their skin.  LOL!

"Really boys?  Does this get scary anytime soon?  When does the game start?  What am I missing here?"

Casey was so frustrated that he logged me into his game file which was much further into the game thinking I just had not gotten to the "scary" part yet.  Uhmm...no...b o r i n g.  :P

The looks on my boy's faces were priceless.

"You are just not human mom, that is all there is to it."

"No boys, I am human, and I am mom..nothing scares a mama!"

"Like a boss!"

My 365...

Happy days are here again, and so is my boy noise!  After being gone for 5 days, my Blake is home.  :)  He surprised me this afternoon and it was awesome because I got to spend a little time playing with my grandson Cooper, and see Brandon and Amber again as well.

I had a feeling he would be coming home today when he called me just after midnight last night and asked me to "Skype" with him.  "Why do you want to Skype son, let's just talk on the phone?"

"No, I miss you and I want to see you!"  Awwww.  :*)

Thank you again Amber and Brandon for being the best big brother and sister a kid could ask for!  Between Garrett, Kori, Brandon, Amber and Casey, I would say Blake is a very lucky young man.

He has decided to relax and play video games the rest of the day.  "School can wait until tomorrow mom, I just want to relax."

I have to agree with him there.  :)




 Cooper and I created our family in Playmobil.  That is me on the far right with camera for picture taking, laptop for blogging, then Brandon, Amber and new baby in the stroller, Cooper standing next to them and Blake and his BMX bike and skateboard next to Cooper.  Perfect!  :)

Enjoying some play time with my precious grandson Cooper.  I love him so much!
