Mommy plus Five

Yesterday we enjoyed a lovely family night.  Granddaughter Penny had a visit with the doctor here in Boise, so they were able to stop by to visit me on the way home.

It was wonderful to see and hug them.  Amber, always the thoughtful one, brought all her baking supplies so she could bake a belated birthday cake for Blake.  Brandon had to go to work in the evening, so unfortunately he could not stay for cake.  It was great to have a short visit with my awesome son and get in a great big hug.  "I love you, Brandon!"

We enjoyed some time in the garden, eating fresh, warm summer tomatoes right off the vine, and visiting with the chickens. I enjoyed visiting with Amber and the children.  It has been entirely too long since the last visit.  I love them so much.  <3

Brandon is such an amazing father, and Amber is the most loving and nurturing mommy.  I am very proud of both of them!
Penny and Cooper were very excited to see uncle Blake when he got home from school.

In other news... Back-to-school has been a smashing success for Blake!  He is going to have a great year.   Blake's First Day pictures.  Of course I took pictures.  I will take "First Day" pictures every year until he goes off to college, and probably even then.  <3
