My 365...
Happy windy, sunny, gorgeous Sunday! Looks like we have some cooler temperatures, and a chance of rain rolling in. I guess the weather can't be perfect ALL the time. :)
Jack goes into the hospital for his angioplasty tomorrow. He is a little nervous, and I don't blame him. It is going to be a long day for him. The recovery time for this procedure is only 2 - 3 days. Jack will be anxious to get back to work, so I am going to have to try to keep him still for at least that long. The angioplasty is going to be in both legs.
It is hard for me because we have many unresolved issues that man and I. He has so many unresolved issues with his children too. But we will not worry about that right now. We will support him and love him just like any good family would...because we are a good family...and we do love him very much. There are times in life where you must put all the negative aside, and just be supportive and loving. This is one of those times. Jack is a very blessed man. He has four sons who love him, and they will always be there for him. The boys know if they ever needed their father for anything, he would be there for them too. They do appreciate that about him. We will get him through this. :)
I enjoyed another delightful evening with Amber and the babies tonight. Blake had a wonderful few days with them, and they carved some very cool pumpkins and made some delicious caramel apples! Thank you Amber and Brandon!
This is going to be a good week for all of us. I insist. Have a great Monday planet! And if you can, send a positive thought and prayer Jack's way for a smooth and easy surgery. Thank you. :)
My precious Sweet P . :)
Peace.

My 365...
Happy Saturday planet!
I am getting there! And where is "there" you might be asking? There is that quiet place mommies go to exhale and enjoy part 2 of their lives. I won't call it empty nest because I know my nest will never truly be empty. I know this because I have raised four amazing sons who love me, and my family is growing. I know in my heart that while they are out and about living this thing called life, they do take a second or two out of their day and think fondly of dear old mom. That is all I need. It feels great knowing that the love I have given to them, comes back to me ten-fold. That completes me, and nothing else matters.
Is that normal? Is that the way moms are supposed to feel? Is that the way life is written in the book of motherhood? I don't know, and even more importantly, I don't care. You see there is one thing I know about myself with absolutely certainty...I have never consulted ANY book on how I am supposed to live my life. How I am supposed to "mother." I have always approached my life as a mom, relying completely upon instinct. I have always done what felt right to me, and always acted out of love and nothing more. There are no regrets.
Sure, everyone has a laundry list of things they felt could have gone better in life. However, when I review my laundry list of moments, when life seemingly did not fall into place, nothing I could have said or done would have made a difference. The people who are no longer in my life, chose not to be for whatever reason they need to justify...and I have no control over that. So why worry? Their life, their choice, and I feel no responsibility for their choices either way. It is not a burden I carry, for I know I did my best, and that is a good feeling. People who have darkness in their spirit, people who can not let go of the past, people who demand perfection out of everyone in their lives and will accept nothing less, can deal with that toxicity on their own time. I don't have to, so why let it get me down? I let go of that darkness a long, long, long time ago. My heart is healed, and my life is toxic free.
I am home alone today, and it feels good. It does not feel sad or lonely because I know in life I will never EVER truly be alone...and that makes me happy. I can stay in bed all day and read a good book. Not worry about anyone or anything because I know life is going along smoothly as it should be. I love with the purest of intentions, and that is the love I receive in return.
Today would have been a perfect day for a bike ride, but since I am home alone, I decided to let it be Enbrel injection day. I have not had my injection for a few weeks because I have not been feeling 100 percent...yeah, that is a great excuse...the damn thing hurts! lol But today I mustered up the courage and gave myself the shot. Now I have an excuse to cuddle up under the blankets with Miss Lilly, and read a book, or better yet, watch season one of Sherlock. My daughter-in-law tells me it is an awesome show, and Amber knows awesome, so that is probably what I will be doing all day. PS...Amber, your chicken from last night made for some delicious left-overs. Thank you honey!
Hope the sun is shining in your world today planet. It sure is shining here. :)
Peace.

My 365...
Happy Friday planet! The weekend is here...woot! I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Casey headed out for the weekend to go shooting, so we won't be seeing him. :*( But after having just gotten off a 14 hour shift at work, I am glad he will have the weekend to unwind. He has earned it. Garrett left to go shooting with his friends too. My boys love their guns. I will be shooting this weekend as well, but it will be pictures NOT bullets. :)
Amber and the babies came to spend the evening with me, and I enjoyed their company so much. Sweet baby Penny is full of smiles and is growing so fast. Cooper now calls me "Gramma Ronica," and I LOVE IT! He is too adorable for words that precious grandson of mine. Amber prepared a delicious dinner of chicken breast stuffed with spinach, green onion, bacon and Swiss cheese, some roasted asparagus, and ranch fries. It was delicious! After son Brandon got off work, they invited Blake to spend the night with them so he could join them making caramel apples and carve some pumpkins. He was so excited to go. Blake loves spending the night with them. "Thank you Amber and Brandon!"
Have an amazing weekend everyone! Get out and get some fresh air and exercise. It does a body good.
Giving grandma some precious smiles. :)

My 365...
Life is great when everything falls into place, isn't it? That is how I feel lately. The boys are doing so well. New and exciting opportunities coming for Garrett, Brandon has a beautiful family, Casey is loving life, Blake is doing great in school...and that makes me so happy for them. Jack goes in for surgery on Monday, but I have faith that all will be well. Jack is a pretty strong man physically, so I am confident that he will be fine.
One thing I have learned this year, is that life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful. There are things in my life that I wish could be different, but they are not. So I celebrate the blessings that I do have, and stop worrying about those things that are out of my hands. That makes all the difference in the world. You can't keep crying about what you have no control over...you move on. If you embrace that belief, the sad moments are few and far between. I owe it all to the Big Man upstairs. He has carried this family through some very difficult times, and He never lets us down. Thank You God. You rock. :)
This evening Blake and I are headed to the pumpkin farm with son Brandon, Amber, my grandbabies, grandma Inez and uncle Charlie. I know we are going to have an amazing time. I will post photo updates this evening.
Keep the faith planet...it will always carry you through!
"I can't hear you...I have A GIANT LILY on my head!"
