My 365...
Hello Saturday. It is so cold today. We had rain last night, then some thunder, followed by snow. I do love snow thunder. :)
I am enjoying a nice relaxing day of gaming with Blake. We have already devoured two cans of sliced pineapples, and a can of peaches.
I love days like today. No worries, no stress, just family and fun time.
Hope your Saturday has been great.

There is a reason they put warning labels on plastic bags. The reason is...silly 11 year old boys.

My 365...
Happy Friday planet! It is here, it is here, the weekend is here! *Happy Dance*
The coolest thing happened today. My son Casey found an old crucifix in my jewelry box, and he asked me if he could have it so he could wear it. I have had this crucifix for as long as I can remember. It was either my mom's or my grandmother's, from an old rosary. A metal crucifix, with beautiful detailing on it.
I took some paracord, (camo of course) some nylon thread, and made a very cool necklace for Casey. He loves it, and I know he will wear it every day to keep him safe.
I was born, raised and baptized a Catholic. My children have all been baptized, my oldest daughter confirmed, because being Catholic...it was the "thing" to do. However, that all changed for me just after Blake was born 11 years ago. Yes, Blake has been baptized, but that was pretty much the last "Catholic" thing this family has done. You see for me personally, practicing the Catholic faith would make me a hypocrite for so many reasons.
There are many people in my life who are homosexual. Friends and family, and I love them with all my heart and I believe in them. The Catholic church does not. The Catholic Church opposes gay marriage and the social acceptance of homosexuality and same-sex relationships. No...I whole-heartedly and 100 percent completely disagree. Therefore can I be a good Catholic? Can I tell the homosexual men and women in my life, that I love, accept and support them and remain true to the Catholic church?
Can I be an amazing, compassionate, intelligent, accepting, faithful child of God? Oh yes, I most certainly can be...as can be every homosexual man and woman that I know and love...if they so desire to be.
I believe the Catholic church has it all wrong, as do many other "religions" on this planet. Therefore, I can not, with clear conscious, be a part of a community that in my humble opinion, has it all wrong. Does that mean I am turning my back on God? Absolutely not, it means I have the courage and the intellect to turn my back on the dogma, while maintaining a direct line to what I believe in. And that is, that I believe there is a higher power, I know and love, who would not turn His back on anyone. And I am proud to say that my sons feel the same way.
Amen! "Now step off that cereal box and start the weekend Veronica!" Okay...I will. :)
Religious rant over....go forth, support the people you love, and do not be afraid to shout it from the mountain tops. Or in my case, my humble little blog. You can't just say "I love you" to a gay man or woman, then practice a religion that says they are living in sin. That my friends, is what a hypocrite does.
Have a great weekend planet. Be kind and accepting to one another without conditions or judgment. It is what He intended. <3

My 365...
Thursday is here again? I have not decided which I like more? When the week crawls by and I am just waiting for Friday to get here, or when one moment it is Monday morning, I blink, and it is Friday? For me lately, it has been a whole lot of blinking which results in time and space travel. It feels as if I am sitting at my desk working, I pause for just a second to close my eyes, and take a deep breath, then when I open my eyes, four days have zoomed on by. The cosmos looks down upon me with a snicker and says...
"You've been hazed!" #dailygrace LOL, I do love me some Daily Grace.
(For those who do not follow Daily Grace, "You've Been Hazed!" is one of her favorite things to say. And thus ends my daily lesson in knowing your YouTube funnies.)
The key to time travel is to remain busy at all times. With home schooling, working from home, having a photo-a-day obsession, and managing a bustling family, "busy" is an understatement. There are ALWAYS a dozen things to do...at the same time. Multi-tasking was so much easier when I was younger. :P
The good thing about "busy", especially when you get things done, is the amazing feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day. You crawl into a nice soft warm bed...close your eyes, take a deep breath then....*BOOM*, it is 8:00AM the next morning!
"You've been hazed!" #dailygrace
Moral of the story...don't blink!! :)

My 365...
Happy Wednesday Planet! We are halfway to the weekend.
My day started out a little blue. Not for any particular reason, just a feeling that was hanging in the air. Blue is a lovely color. The color of clear Idaho skies, the amazing color of blue in my sons' eyes, the refreshing color blue in the Boise river in early spring when the snow melt starts in the mountains. But as a feeling, blue is not so delightful.
I shook it off and tried to get the day moving on the right foot. I am happy to report that I have done just that. Blue feeling successfully launched into orbit, and a more relaxed, content feeling has taken its place in my spirit. Hmmm....I wonder what color content is?
Hope your day is going well planet. Let's keep the blue in the sky where it belongs. :)
I enjoyed a nice game of checkers with Blake this afternoon.
Of course he won...he always does. :)
Son Garrett purchase a little GoPro Hero3 camera, and I have to say, it takes AMAZING video! So much power in such a tiny little camera. He shot this video through the dirty library windows at school today.

My 365...
Hello Tuesday. :)
Blake is feeling a bit under the weather. His day started off not so great when he woke from a really bad dream, and he has felt a bit out of balance ever since. Blake is so sensitive and sweet. He is a rowdy tough boy, but very kind hearted like his big brothers. I love that about him. However, when he is feeling off, I feel off too.
He is growing too fast as well. We were going through his clothes the other day, and almost all of his t-shirts are getting too small on him. The new shoes I just bought him for Christmas are already getting tight. Time to do some serious wardrobe shopping for Blake. Why oh why do our babies have to grow so quickly? Especially boys, wow they grow fast!
My daughter Meagan is married with a son of her own, my son Brandon is married with a son of his own, and baby number two on the way, son Garrett is going to be 25 in March, and living a happy life with his honey Kori, son Casey just turned 18 and is so ready to fly. As for son Blake, he is outgrowing all of his clothes and shoes on a daily basis. I think I will crawl into bed and stay there for the next 10 years to see if I can slow this thing called "life" down a bit.
No, not really, life is good moving at a steady pace. My babies are happy and living their best lives and Blake is today, will be tomorrow, and shall forever remain...my baby boy. Even when he grows to be over 6 feet tall and can easily bench press a small car. As for me, I have been plugged in to this parenting gig for almost 27 years now, and shall remain plugged in until the end of time. Just call me a career mother. :)
Have a great evening planet!
"Yeah you Diva face, come here..."
"Just wanted to let you know, I am the new queen in town. So take your place in the food chain Daisy."
"Excuse me! First of all, my name is Miss Lilly NOT Daisy, and you better watch your step little ball of pocket lint, there is only room for one Diva in this house, and that diva is me!"
