My 365...

Hello Tuesday.  :)

We are having a perfect Spring day here in Idaho.  I am trying really hard not to worry about work and home school this week as it is supposed to be Spring Break for Blake, but it is hard to do with emails, texts and voice mail piling up on me.  I will do my best though!

Blake and I decided to throw a blanket down in the back yard and enjoy some Draw Something.  That was fun.  It is a hilarious game to play with friends, and just the distraction I needed for the day.

I have not been sleeping very well lately.  I keep having these weird dark dreams that make absolutely no sense to me at all.  There is some pain when I think back to a time when life was raw and uncertain in my teens and early twenties, but the universe has been kind to me in that I honestly can't recall what that pain was.  I know it is there, but I don't remember the details or circumstances?  That is a good thing, but it has not made that "pain" go away completely.  It is still lurking in the shadows waiting to pounce.  I wish it would simply go away, because it...whatever it is....has no significance in my life now or to the person that I have become.  There is a small tiny part of me that wishes I could resolve this pain, just so the bad dreams would go away, but perhaps they are nothing more than bad dreams.  Too much spicy food before bed.

I do not feel as if I have some "unresolved" issues that are preventing me from moving forward in my life.  I have moved forward and although life is not as perfect as it could be...life is good.  :)

So to my bad dreams I insist that you CEASE and DESIST immediately!  Be gone I say to you!

My photos of the day...

Enjoying a beautiful day with my incredibly delightful youngest son.

 "Love you Blake."  <3

My neighbor's Daffodils are in full bloom and they look so pretty.
"Blake, have you seen my camera?"

 "No mom, I haven't."

I think he forgets who takes the photos off of the memory card.  Such a stinker!  But I love him.  :)

For dinner....Mayo sandwiches.  I grew up loving Mayo sandwiches!  They are one of my favorite things.  Some cracked whole wheat bread, Mayonnaise, freshly ground pepper, tomato and lettuce....yummy!  With some refreshing ginger lemon tea on ice.  Perfect!

Music I am listening to today...Journey

My music this week has been a blast from the past.  Spring Break reminds me of the 80's.  T-shirt, cut-offs, no shoes...getting in my Firebird with the top down, listening to good music and driving for hours and hours without a care in the world.  Life before cell phones where you could truly get "unplugged" and feel free.  Canyon Lake, the Guadalupe River...Port A...*smile*

My 365...

First day of Spring Break means Spring cleaning.  I want to get it out of the way today, so that we can have fun adventuring the rest of the week.

The word cleaning around here means one thing and one thing only...stay out of mama's way and let her clean.  :)

It is also review week for the boys.  They have Spring ISAT testing coming up the first week of April, so I am taking this opportunity to review math, reading and writing with Blake.  Don't worry, I am making it fun.  Spring Break should be all about the "Break", but I want them to ace those tests as well.  For the reading part of the program, I have loaded "The Hunger Games" series of books on my Android tablet and on the second Android tablet for Blake so we can read the books together.  I let him pick the stories he wanted to read, and he insisted on The Hunger Games.  This should be fun.  :)

Hope your Monday is going well.

My photos of the day...

Blake thought it would be cute to put a stow-away on my mouse this morning....

Gee...I wonder who put water in my scented hot wax?

"But doesn't it look cool mom?"

"Yes, I guess it does look a bit cool Blake, but please don't do it again okay?"

"Miss Lilly, are you trying to help me with the laundry...or hiding out?"
"NO!  I have been dog napped by this crazy laundry basket from hell!  Now get me out of here mama!"

Music I am listening to today...Def Leppard

"Yes mom."

A Spot of Tea

"Tea party."

"Brother, would you like a spot of tea?"
"Why yes thank you brother, I would.  That sounds delightful."
"I have some new Earl Grey.  It has a splendid aroma, and rich taste.  Sugar?"
"Yes I would like some sugar, two lumps...thank you."
"Certainly, my pleasure brother."
"Perhaps I could make some nice light cucumber sandwiches for us, would you like that?"
"Yes, I would.  Cucumber sandwiches sound delicious.  Thank you brother.  You know, mom says we need a hobby.  I was thinking of taking up crochet.  What do you think of that brother?"
"Ah yes, that would be a relaxing hobby for us both.  Perhaps a little knitting as well?"
"Sounds good to me brother.  We should have a nice afternoon of tea more often don't you think?"
"Indeed I do."

Ooops...wrong audio track, let me fix that...

"BOOM" head shot!  *Insert expletive here*  You're dead dude!"
"Ugh...you got me!"

"Hmmm....maybe Ducati.  But they are pretty darn awesome and amazing heathens if you ask me."  :)

My 365...

Hello Saturday.  :)

We are enjoying a nice peaceful lazy day today.  I have to work at least five hours, but I am not complaining since I get to do my work from the comfort of home.

I had a VERY late night...into the early morning hours...with Garrett as his computer was giving him grief.  I am always hearing jokes about customer service reps out of India.  Garrett had to call Microsoft and was connected with their technical support staff in Bangladesh.  The man he spoke with was AWESOME!  The assistance and support he provided was outstanding.  We were really impressed, "Thank you Naba!"  And kudos to Microsoft.

Check out some Blake photos from today!  He loves playing with my camera.  :)  *CLICK*

I had a great surprise from About.Com Photography.   They selected another one of my photos for "Picture of the Week."   Thank you About.Com!

The members of the About.Com Photography community are a great inspiration for me, and I sincerely appreciate all that I have learned, and continue to learn from them. :)

Back to work for me, hope you are all having an EPIC day!

My photos of the day...

Garrett brought Blake a tube of "balloon plastic" stuff.  He always brings the fun.  :)

For dinner, onion, bean dip, Frito, jalapeño burgers.
Yummy!

Miss Lilly getting some "dozerly" rest and relaxation.  Dozer is such a soft and squishy place to lay your weary head.  Can't say that I blame her.

The old man is snoring...literally!

 My 365...

Today was a perfect day spent with my men.  Jack and I took the boys, Garrett, Casey and Blake, to lunch to celebrate Garrett's birthday.  Kori joined us too...yay!  All that was missing was son Brandon and grandson Cooper.  We had an "all you can eat" Chinese Buffet.  With boys it HAS to be "all you can eat" or nothing at all.  And oh brother can my boys eat!

After lunch we enjoyed some shopping for new shoes for the boys, and a new computer keyboard and cell phone for dad.  Shoes....oh shoes.  We go through boys shoes faster than a fish swims through water!  Garrett has a TON of awesome shoes that the boys would love to inherit...but Garrett also has huge feet!  lol :)  We got a new bike for Blake...another thing he has outgrown!

I also made the big switch from Sprint to T-Mobile.  I have had Sprint for years, but decided I was paying entirely too much for way too many services that we did not need.  The rep at the T-Mobile store was very nice, and had us all set up in no time with a great family plan.  Here is hoping T-Mobile does not disappoint!  Family and friends...if you would like my new cell phone number, please message me on Facebook.

Today I realized so many things.  I have the best family in the world!  Duh....I only say that in just about every single blog post. But it is true...I do!  I love spending time with my boys and Kori.  They are funny and warm and just about the coolest people I know.  I hate that Brandon does not live in Boise anymore, I miss him and Cooper SO much it hurts.  :*(   Thank God for Facebook and the Internet so we can keep in touch.  I LOVE you Brandon and Cooper!!!

Hope you all have an amazing weekend.  :)

My photos of the day...

Two of my favorite people in the world, son Garrett and his honey Kori.  <3

 Son Casey...loving the mushrooms!
 Daddy and Blake.
 Yummy food.
Blake decided to try some sushi and seafood, which he loved.
Unfortunately when he realized this little guy was staring back at him...
...he couldn't bring himself to eat it.

"Seafood is great mom, but NOT when it is looking you in the eye."
Where is the best place to keep your fortune cookie message?  Garrett decided it was a great enhancement to his earring.  :P
I love my family!!
***Doggy Daily***

Don't even think about walking out the front door Dozer...aka "poop" head.  :)

Dozer knows when I am about to leave the house.  He paces the front door.

Music I am listening to today...John Mayer

Random Link of the Day...Get Involved!

Until next time..."The only way for someone to know that you love them, is if you tell them.  Cosmic forces will not tell them for you.  Just saying..."

Peace.
