My 365...

Miss Lilly, ready to call it a night.  :)

I never lock the gate unless I am going to be gone for more than an hour.  When she is ready to sleep, she paws the door until it swings open, then steps in and gets comfy.

Such a sweet girl!

My 365...

Doctor day for mama.  Today I had to visit the doctor for a follow-up and evaluation of my medications.  There is a little disagreement between my Internist and my Rheumatologist.  One doctor wants more meds, the other wants less meds.  I'll let them battle it out!

I will be adding a new doctor to the mix now with an Orthopaedic surgeon.  Seems I am suffering an ulnar nerve compression in my left arm.  Surgery is recommended, but with my meds and disease there is always a chance I won't heal so surgery has to be the last resort.  I told the doctor just to take my arm, I don't need two.  She laughed and said "No thanks, I don't need three."  lol

After the visit I had to go to the hospital for lab work.  There has been a lot of construction at the hospital since I was there last, which was when Blake was born 9 years ago.  It is really a beautiful hospital.  There are lots of little snack bars and Cafe's, and Blake's favorite thing....vending machines!  Yay!  He talked me into a candy bar, some rice crispy treats and a bag of Doritos.  Blake loves adventures with mommy.  We had fun.

My photos of the day...

It is a cloudy and overcast day today, but the sun was shining bright on the mountains.  With there still being significant snow up there it looks so pretty.

I hope you are all having a fabulous day!

Music I am listening to today, Sugarland.

Until next time...

My 365...

Back to work today, and so far, so good.  I am very tired though.  Blake was up very late last night because he could not sleep.  When Blake can't sleep...mama can't sleep.

To make matters worse, he was up before 5:00 A.M.  Must be why I am feeling so exhausted right now.  :(

Needless to say I have kept him running today so we BOTH sleep well tonight!

We enjoyed a nice late afternoon hail storm.

Music I am listening to today is, Sting.

My 365...

What a strange day this has been.  So peaceful and quiet.  Not that that is a bad thing, just not very used to the quiet.  Blake and Casey were so laid back today.  Blake has napped most of the day as he has a little bit of fever and a cold coming on poor baby.  Casey has had a stuffy nose as well.  It has been a very cold day too, and it is about to get colder!

I am happy to report that I have been feeling better today.  The RA beast has given me a run for my money the last three days, but is quiet today.  My joints are not hurting as much.  Thank you God!

My aunt called today and I enjoyed our conversation.  We talked for over an hour, and had a few laughs as well.  I miss her.  I am hoping I can fly her up this Spring for a visit as it has been entirely too long.  She is an amazing lady and I love her so much!

My photo of the day...

I do not drink alcohol hardly at all anymore because I have to be very careful with my medication.  Every now and then I enjoy a glass of wine.  I have discovered a very soft red that is absolutely delicious!  Ste. Chapelle Soft Huckleberry is so good!  I love it because it is not dry or strong at all, and is quite tasty!  If you like soft wine I definitely recommend it.  :)

It is back to work for me tomorrow.  I have had an amazing vacation!

Music I am listening to today, Nickelback.

Until next time...

Doggy Daily for February 20, 2011

My sweet Miss Lilly.

I have been owned by many dogs in my life, and my current big bear Dozer is one of the greatest dogs I have ever known.  Then along came Miss Lilly.  I have never liked female dogs, but this little girl is different.  She gets me.

She was sitting on a chair next to mine this morning, watching my every move.  When I speak to her, she tilts her little head and looks at me with the most expressive eyes I have ever seen.  It is as if she understands everything I say.  I love this little compact doggy. and I am so thankful that Garrett took the long drive to adopt her for me.

Thank you son, Miss Lilly makes mama's heart smile.  :)
