April 24, 2016 - Sunday is Family Night!
We enjoyed another delightful family night on Sunday. I prepared some delicious chicken and pulled pork flautas, rice, beans, guacamole and salsa. For desert we had watermelon.
Genevieve came over, as did Casey and Brianna. They brought Ducati too.
It was a delightful evening. I love my family! We are very blessed. :)
Casey practicing his "Goofy Daddy" faces. Baby Axel is due any day now!
Blake getting some "Big Sis" advice from Genevieve about girls. Thanks Ginny!
Garrett is in love with Denali bear.
Blake is in love with Denali too.
Ginny and Garrett. <3
Beautiful Brianna and Casey.
We also introduced Denali to the hens. He did great!
The hens are very protective of Jack. They made sure Denali knew that daddy belongs to them!
Until next time...enjoy life, and be kind to one another.
Peace.

March 14, 2016 - In Loving Memory of Dozer
I received the keepsakes that I ordered for Dozer in the mail today, and I love them! A lovely little paw pendant for me, and small chrome cylinders with paw prints for Garrett and Blake. Tucked inside of the keepsakes is a bit of Dozer's beautiful fur that I saved.
We also received a carved dog puzzle from Jack's co-worker, and it looks just like Dozer. I have them all set up next to the beautiful garden stone that Garrett's girlfriend Genevieve bought for me.
It is hard to believe that it has almost been a month since he died. It still feels like he is wandering around the house with his big goofy smile, and his sweet, loving nature. We really miss him.
Blake is doing great with his photography as well. Only one more week until Spring break. We plan on going on a lot of photo adventures. Then in April, Garrett, his girlfriend Genevieve, Blake and I, will be taking a top-secret road trip to Washington state. Details to follow... :)
We are so blessed, this family of mine. I am so proud of my boys...all four of them!
Until next time...enjoy life, and be kind to one another.
Peace.

In other news, Casey and Brianna found a house, and will be moving out this Wednesday. I am SO excited for them, but will really miss having them here too. It is not too far away, so I am sure I will see them often. They will be taking Ducati with them too...yay. Jack and I were hoping they would stay until after the baby is born, so it would take some stress off of them, but they are anxious to set up their little home. We have truly enjoyed having them live here, but I can't blame them a bit. It is hard to believe that it is less than two months until the baby arrives. I can not wait to meet my precious grandson. <3
Garrett has been working hard on his photography and is doing awesome. He finally decided to set up a Youtube channel for his edits, and maybe a vlog or two. Here is one of his recent photos...
He went to Donnelly, Idaho with his friend Shane to clear the snow off the roof of their family's cabin. Garrett took some amazing photos. He shoots multiple exposure in RAW format, then combines the exposures in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for the final EPIC image. He does amazing work!
Peace.

November 21, 2015 - The King of Beards
Garrett, my number one son, and the king of all the beards. There is no question that he has won Movember this year. He has the most epic beard on the planet. :)
However, Garrett is much more than the King of Beards, he is also the King of Cool, the King of Comedy, the King of Reason, and the King of Kindness. And he is pretty much the King of all things he finds interest in.
Garrett is a giver. He gives of himself to everyone who crosses his path. Which is why when I have heard or discovered that someone has done him wrong, it makes me so very angry. Ironically, Garrett would be the first person to forgive. He would say, "Let it go mom, it is not that big of a deal. Life is too short to worry about the little stuff. There will always be crazy in this world, we just have to learn to filter it out."
And he is right. Life is too short. We will always have people in our world who make no sense. People who live to stir the pot or draw in all the attention they can muster. Unfortunately, it is these same people that upset the calm of our everyday life. But that is only if we permit them to. I will take some example from Garrett and just "let it go." Be thankful for the awesome that is life, and filter out the noise that comes from all the crazy. Take away the spoon from the pot stirrers.
Thank you son. I love you. :)
Garrett and Blake, the twins who are 13 years apart.
Blake is more like Garrett than any of his other siblings. He has a calm, kindness about his spirit.
There are days that he makes us all crazy, but there is a word for that. That word is puberty. Garrett helps me keep Blake's feet firmly planted, and for that I am forever thankful.
Happy 6th birthday to this old puppers.
We have had a nice peaceful weekend. Casey and Brianna have been over a lot, and that makes my heart happy. I love my little family.
Have an amazing week everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving. <3
Until next time...enjoy life, and be kind to one another.
Peace.

October 28, 2015 - Family Time Is The Best Time. :)
Have you ever smiled so much that your cheeks hurt? Or laughed so hard that your tummy feels like it has just experienced the roller coaster ride of a lifetime? That is how I feel tonight. I think I can say with absolute certainty, that this evening was one of the very best days of my life. I had the pleasure of enjoying the company of all of my family together. My daughter-in-law Amber invited us to the Farmstead Corn Maze and Pumpkin Festival, in Meridian Idaho. The best part of all, I was able to coordinate every one's schedule, and we all went together. Jack was off from work, Garrett and his girlfriend Genevieve, Casey and his girlfriend Brianna, Brandon, Amber and my precious grandchildren Cooper and Penny, and of course Blake. All of us together to enjoy each other's company, and a chilly Autumn evening. And enjoy each other's company we did! We truly had an amazing time. It was awesome!
I have never felt so happy...and so blessed. *love*
Grandpa Jack, and I...grandma Veronica. Goodness, I love this man. <3
Son Casey, and his love Brianna. They are just beginning their great adventure in life, and have a sweet baby on the way due next Spring. They are both so happy, and I am happy for them. <3
And this kid! Youngest son Blake, and the love of my life. He can be such a stinker, but life has been so amazing since he came along. :)
My precious granddaughter Penny.
Genevieve brought some Halloween baskets full of goodies for Cooper and Penny. So sweet!
Tinkerbell has arrived! Let the festivities begin!
My adorable grandson Cooper. Dressed as the coolest ninja on the planet. The coolest Ninja with the most amazing smile. :)
Daddy in training!
"Daddy, I know I am Tinkerbell, but I really don't feel like flying right now!"
Daddy makes everything all better.
I love this face!
I discovered this tiny abandoned pink shoe next to the game that Casey and Brianna were playing.
I told them it was an omen...the baby is going to be a girl! Note the look on Casey's face...lol
Only son Brandon could rock a pair of Tinkerbell wings, and still look fierce!
Genevieve, teaching Casey and grandpa Jack how to rope a cow.
Still smiling!
"Look uncle Garrett, I slayed the dragon!"
You are never too old, or too cool...
...to ride the cow train.
Penny with her beautiful mommy Amber.
Daddy and the boys.
"Come on dad, mom said you knew how to dance!"
Grandpa Jack, guarding the ninja swords and the Tinkerbell wings.
"Come on mommy, let me teach you how to fly!"
"Did you say that I could blast this pumpkin out of this canon? Dude, I am in!"
Smile Amber! LOL, I love the many faces of Amber. :P
Grandpa still guarding the ninja swords and the Tinkerbell wings.
Follow the lady with the ninja swords!
Cooper leading us safely out of the corn maze.
The End. :)
Until next time...enjoy life, and be kind to one another.
Peace.
