My 365...
I need to stop calling this blog My 365. As of today, not including this post, I have made it 1,365 consecutive days of taking at least one picture every single day. *Applause...Applause* Or, "My gawd Veronica, you are one OCD chick!" lol :)
To be honest, I knew I would make it a full 365 days, because I was enjoying the project. However, I never dreamed I would make it to 1,365 days. But I am here to proclaim that I am easily going to make it another 1,365 + infinity days. I am having way too much fun to stop.
Have an amazing weekend planet! The weather is supposed to be nice and cool, so there will be some awesome biking adventures for Blake and I. We are at 72.17 miles for September, and I want to at the very least break 100 miles. I hope to get that done this weekend. Then October starts Shaytober, which is the annual "Get in Shape" challenge with Shaycarl Butler.
Last year his challenge was in September, and I rode my bike over 162 miles just for one month. Woot! I am really looking forward to some long October bike rides. I am only at 332 miles for the year, which is much less than last year. By the end if September 2012, I had logged over 695 miles. I want to do better. :)
Blake: "Hi mom, Blake here, just got out of school. I am going to go hang out with my awesome mother."
Me: "Who? What are you doing? Who are you going to hang out with?"
Blake: "You mom! We can play some Minecraft."
Awwww :') I love this kid.

My 365...
Casey had a successful first 12 hour shift at work. He got home about 6:30AM...walked home from work in the cold rain/snow too poor guy. It is not far from home, but after 12 hours of all that hard work, walking home must have been brutal. But he was excited about work. He told me about all the different things he did, and I was exhausted just listening to him. Wow, he worked hard manual labor! I do not know many people that enjoy that kind of hard work, but Casey loves it. I am really proud of him. Thankfully he does not work again until tomorrow, so he has a day for his body to recover from all the heavy lifting.
When I woke Blake up for school at 8:20AM it was still drizzling outside and very chilly in the upper 40's. Blake asked me if I would ride into school with him. I had been asking Jack to ride with him in the morning as I tend to be a bit stiff, but Blake told me he would rather have me. It has gotten to the point where Blake is no longer comfortable being around his dad. I can't say that I blame him. Honestly, it was the last thing I wanted to do, but I forced myself to get moving and I am so glad I did. I found an old coat in the closet that Jack picked up years ago. The thing is huge! As I was riding my bike, that humongous coat filled with air and I looked a bit like a giant blueberry on wheels...lol But hey, it kept me warm and dry, and I enjoyed my early morning ride with Blake. I got some morning exercise, and my Blakey started his day off happy. That is all that matters.
On the ride home this afternoon, we managed to catch a little sunshine since it had been raining off and on all day. We took a detour to the rim of the bench to check the mountains. There was a light frosting of snow up on Bogus Basin. I hope we get a lot of snow this year, that would be awesome.

Some of my favorite people passed us on the way home. Have I mentioned how much I love firefighters? I think they are the most amazing human beings on the planet. This one is for you Doug. :)

My 365...
Casey got a job! I am so proud of him. He has been pounding the pavement for 8 months trying to find some good work, but jobs in Idaho are not easy to come by. He will be working at the main location of one of the largest dairy companies in the Northwest. It will be hard work, but that is what Casey has always wanted. He will be working 12 hour shifts, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM...yay, that will keep this teenager out of trouble. "The mama motive"...lol He was hired today, and he starts today.
He needs something to keep him busy while he is getting ready for surgery and the rest of his life. His dream is still Army or Navy, forestry service, fire department...maybe college, who knows. All I know is that whatever Casey does, he will do it well and he will be at the top of his game. He wants to work hard doing something he loves. There is no question in my mind that he will be doing just that. I am very proud of my son. :) "Go Casey!!" And thank You God for bringing this opportunity his way.
Speaking of God, I am thankful for so many things God has done for us this past year. If you put your faith in the Big Man Above...He will never let you down. It has not been easy raising four sons who do not have the benefit of a father who can show them the way. I could have never done it, or continue to do it, without help from God and without the guidance of their big brother Garrett. Thank you Garrett. It still breaks my heart that they do not have a father who tells them how awesome they are, or that he is proud of them. But I will say this, they have a mother who does...and who always will. "I am so proud of my sons!"
The bike ride to school to pick Blake up was a little chilly and damp this afternoon. Our high today was 51°f with some rain. I love it! Riding with thick gloves and a heavy coat was a bit of a challenge on my weak old hands I will say, but I did it. I usually only wear a sweat shirt,because on long rides you build up enough body heat to stay warm. On short little rides to school and back, I do not generate enough heat to prevent my body from turning into an icicle. Therefore, heavy coat and gloves required. It was fun though!
All in all, a great day in my world planet. Hope your day was awesome as well. :)

My 365...
Out with the old, and in with the new, life is a series of constant changes. Some changes are welcomed...others, not so much. And it goes on...and on...and on. Whether or not we are ready, whether are not we can let go, life does goes on. Life has its own schedule.
If you smart, you won't fight it. I have faith enough to believe that everything happens for a reason. The key to life is having open eyes and an open heart to receive the messages that life sends you whenever change occurs, and realize that perhaps it is for the best.
Oh don't get me wrong, life changes can royally suck sometimes too. When those changes happen, I like to think that it may be the collateral damage from someone else's change. Hopefully they received their message loud and clear, and I have the strength to deal with what comes.
Look for your silver lining. It is there, it always is. Somewhere down the line you will realize, that all is well and things are simply going according to plan.
And remember, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. ~~OR~~ Just say "Aw hell no!" Toss the lemons, order up some mangos and make a mango smoothie honey. That is perfectly acceptable as well. :)
Silver lining...Lemon = fruit, fruit = mango, mango = smoothie. See? You just need to know were to look. And always remember, I love you, I love me, and I love the heck out of a good mango smoothie.
It is raining today. I love the rain, and it is a chilly 53°f outside. My first thought was, "Oh dear, Blake has to ride his bike home from school in the rain." My second thought...."Blake LOVES playing in the rain!" Oh believe me, he will come home complaining, moaning and groaning the "woe is me" song and dance, and milk it for all of its worth...but he will be smiling on the inside and saying to himself..."Damn that was a fun ride." I may not hear those words coming out of his mouth...but I will be able to see it in his eyes. Moms know. We just do. Besides...mama rode home with him in the rain, so no complaining okay?
Hope your day was full of silver linings planet. They are always there trust me on this one...you just have to open your eyes and recognize them.

My 365...
Good Morning planet!
Sheesh, when did I become a morning person? I had my photos taken and blog entry written, all before 10:00am. That is not natural for me. I do love getting an early start to the day, but I have to be honest, my bed is looking pretty comfy about now. Who am I kidding here...I will NEVER be a morning person!
Once a vampire...always a vampire. *wink*
