My 365...

Finally the last day of February! This has not been the greatest month so I am happy to see it pass.

I got the best gift today! I miss RayRay so much now that he is gone, and spending my days with Supra and Dozer...whom I adore...I miss having a little itty bitty lap dog. :( Dozer at over 100 pounds and Supra not far behind that! So today Kori and Garrett drove to Weiser Idaho and brought mama home a new baby!

Meet Miss Lilly....an itty bitty tiny little Min Pin/Doxie mix. Just about the cutest little baby I have EVER seen! Blake is in love and so is mama. :)

Blakey with his little girly...

Kori introducing Lilly to the big boys...

And meeting her big brother Dozer...

Finally another girl in the house with a place full of boys. Kori and I are not so outnumbered anymore. Welcome Home Miss Lilly!

Goodbye February!

This is going to be a great March and am even better Spring!

My 365...

It seems news that should be exciting and something to celebrate is just news these days. For me, more cause for concern and gray hair. I heard I was "almost" a grandmother a few months ago. Sadly the baby died.

Now it is possible I may yet again have the opportunity to be grandmother. The timing is no better, the situation far worse, but these two think they hung the moon and life for them shall come easy. Meanwhile all this future grandmother can do is pray...pray for that sweet baby on the way.

I need to learn to step out of the way and let life run it's course...crazy as that may seem to me. The path it takes, the place it stops, the highs, the lows, the scary dark corners, I will watch quietly from the sidelines and hope everyone gets off ok.

Have a great weekend everyone. :)

My 365...

Come on mom, I can make you laugh...I have a dog bowl on my head!

OK...if that does not work, how about a "Blakey face!"...that works every time. :)

Yep...that worked. If you can gaze upon the famous "Blakey face", and not laugh or smile, I recommend you check for a pulse.

This has been a very difficult mommy day for me. I keep thinking I have experienced the worst mommy day of my life, then another comes along that makes the previous look like child's play.

Being a mom is definitely the hardest gig in the world. You do all you can to provide for your children, to hopefully bring them happiness and stability but yet it is not quite enough.

I was a middle child. I know and understand the independence and stubborn attitude of the middle child. You want so badly to get started with your life and it often seems that no one understands you or really cares. But "I" care. I get it, yet my middle child can't see that and he continues to run away.

One of these days...when I am old and gray...maybe I can say "goodbye kid, you are on your own!"...but knowing me I doubt it. I will stand right where I am standing now with my arms wide open ready to catch you when you fall. I will never walk away from you. I might step back and watch from the shadows, but I will never say goodbye. Not when you were 14 and not now when you are 18 going on 50. I care and I love you.

And to my baby, my youngest and the light at the end of the tunnel I say thank you Blakey for bringing sunshine to my world.

No longer a clothes rack I made room in the living room for the elliptical. Time to get some exercise in. :)

Growing so fast! Took the "peeking through the fence" photo again of Blake and Supra today. Supra is growing so fast!

My 365...

Good Sunday evening everyone. This has to be my favorite 365 photo to-date. Blake, future movie creator director extraordinaire.

Blake asked me this weekend if I could teach him how to create video tutorials so he could create his own Webkinz channel and podcast. Yes world, only 8 years old and he has amazing ambition.

So here is Blake creating and editing his first video. :)

Have a great week ahead! I know we will. :)

Another Digital Doodle...

My 365...

I was sitting at my desk with the usual suspects, Dozer and Supra, curled up under my chair...or so I thought! I glanced down to see Blake had joined the party. :)

Even after the traumatic experience last weekend with a very unstable dog, he still loves his canine friends, and they love him. :)

I am no artist...

...however when I can't sleep, I love to scribble with my WACOM tablet. It can be fun.

My scribble for the evening. Good night. :)

Had a great day today, managed to get so much done. Hoping to get all the floors mopped this weekend and some furniture re-arranged. I love to move furniture around, makes everything feel new and different.

Have a great weekend world! I know my boys are I are going to. :)

My 365...

I posted my last picture just after midnight, but it felt way too early for a photo of the day, so here is a random picture from this evening. I love candles. :)

How is that for random? lol

I had my final exam to certify for my new client tonight, and I passed! Yay! I am so happy to have that behind me. I am not fond of tests at all. I can not start servicing them next week and I am really looking forward to it. *Cheers* to me!

A time to let go...

My 365 for February 18, 2010

I have come to realize that in a mother's life there are many milestones. A time to nurture, a time to teach, a time to play, a time to see wonder and feel pride, a time where you may not agree with chosen paths, a time to try to lead the astray back home, and finally...a time to let go.

Mothers can not control the weather, they can not fix all that breaks, can not deposit millions into our bank accounts and take away all of the financial woes. What we can do as mothers is be honest. Tell the truth, shoot it straight and spare the sugar coated pretties. When something needs to be said, it must be said with absolutely certainty and straight forward honesty. That often hurts. Causing pain is never the intention, helping those we love "take notice" of potential problems is our only agenda. Yet our words are often twisted leaving us feeling guilty and cruel.

We can love our children, and we can be there for our children, however we can not accept disrespect and total disregard. That is never fair for any mother. And we can never wear the blinders comfortably. Those are for horses....mothers can see through them, around them, so they do not help at all.

What this mother will say is "I love you" and I will hold you in my prayers." Chose wisely, and make your choice your own. And remember the choices you make are forever. Remember the words you speak to me cause pain and are not quickly forgotten. No, I do not hold a grudge, but I also do not forget.

I love my world, I love my home, I love my children, I love my dogs, I love my family and friends, and I am happy. I do not feel the world owes me a damn thing. The path I have taken is one I chose and continue to journey down. With my head held high, love in my heart, and a smile on my face. That will not change.

Give a boy a stack of old sheets.....

...and he will build you a castle! :)

A castle complete with his very own...dragon.

And hidden chambers to explore. :)

No matter how difficult my day can become, Blake finds ways to lighten the mood. So full of sweet adventure my precious boy.

I love you Blake!
